Hans Marx, born 1950 in Cologne, Germany, went to school in Germany and Iowa and studied business economics and philosophy of science in Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, and Paris, France.
In his business live he worked in international matters of his automotive company and co-founded companies in America and Australia.
Art has accompanied him throughout his life. He started with painting, had exhibitions in Germany and France and picked up photography in 2010 with his first exhibition on Algiers, Algeria in 2013. He was invited as artist in residence in one of America’s most precious icons, the American Gothic House in Iowa, where he also exhibited his photography.
He works as a consultant in projects of the European Union in Algeria and other French speaking countries in North Africa. He lives with his wife Ursula and three children in Witten, Germany and Esparron-de-Verdon, France.
